About the Methods

In the therapy sessions, I employ an integrative method, placing utmost significance on the therapeutic bond. This strong foundation of mutual trust encourages the open exchange of experiences and emotions. Tailored to the specific issue at hand, various techniques are utilized throughout the course of therapy.

Schema Therapy

Schema therapy is a modern, eclectic psychotherapeutic approach aimed at understanding and treating long-standing psychological problems. The goal of the therapeutic process is to explore the patient’s emotional needs and correct deficiencies, injuries, and negative schemas that have arisen due to unmet needs. For adults, cognitive, imaginative, and experiential techniques are used, while play therapy tools are used to complement the process for children.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive-behavioral therapy is a focused, short therapy (usually 10-20 sessions) aimed at understanding and reducing a specific problem or symptom. During therapy, the problem and its related thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are explored and modified. Active exercises and homework between sessions help facilitate progress.

Couple and Family Therapy

In couple and family therapy, the focus is on the relationship between family members. We view the family or couple as a system, assuming that the symptom/problem arises from the functioning of the system. If one member of the system begins to change, it affects others as well.
